Oral Histories
Since 2002, we have been collecting information about the historical Dry Creek community. Our most treasured collection holds the interviews we conducted with folks that lived on Dry Creek in the early 1900's. Please enjoy these stories that tell of a time when people were hard-working, self-sufficient, owned little material goods, and experienced strong community ties. These stories are rich with descriptions of a lifestyle that will arouse within you amazement and wonder. All discs will be available in the future for listening in the geneology room at the Justin Potter Public Library in Smithville, TN. If you wish to own a copy of any of the interviews we conducted, please contact the library.
